Ways to curbing insecurity in Nigeria

Ways To Curbing Insecurity In Nigeria

Insecurity as defined by the dictionary is the state of being subject to danger; vulnerability; and just as the definition implies, over time, Insecurity has being a menacing issue that has creped so deep into the governing system of Nigeria.

Each day, there are increased cases of banditry, farmers & herders clash, kidnapping, boko haram, IPOB militants, communal clash and many other issues that has interfered with the tranquility of the country.

Many citizens leave their homes with fear of the unknown as they do not know what would be their fate in the nearest minute and even the one's that choose to remain indoors are seen on the news being attacked by 'unknown gunmen'.

One may begin to actually wonder if Nigeria has no constitution and leaders that will consciously impose decisions that would bring a total end to the circumstances we face today.

Hence the necessity for immediate measures to curbing insecurity in Nigeria.

Each and every citizen and leaders need sincere reformation of the mind and actions. By this, it entails consciously making the decision to vote for only genuine and competent leaders with the mind of implementing and tactfully doing things that would uplift the situation of this country.

It is also necessary to note that, some of these crimes are committed by the perpetuators as a result of unemployment and frustration from the high economic conditions we're facing today. In this light, the Government should make it a point of duty to sincerely provide jobs for the citizens, as there are a lot of graduates today, who out of frustration have committed suicide because of the current situation in which they find themselves.

The constitution of the country has been degraded that the rich easily get away with their crimes so long as they've got money to settle the lawyers, 'bribery and corruption', political propaganda and all sort of Ill practices has made the constitution degraded. This is a very important aspect of the country, that if laws are being followed strictly as they are on the constitution most perpetuators of crime would be brought to book and be punished appropriately without being baize or sentimental.

Also, the paramilitary as a very important aspect of the country for peace keeping & safety deserve to be equipped with more tactful and intelligence training, with this, they are given more advanced equipments that would first protect them and also help them combat against these security challenges we're facing today. Many have died on the battle field because they lacked proper welfare and equipment to carry out the work efficiently.

If at all we all desire a country that is safe for all and free from all security challenges, We must all have a unifying heart towards perfecting peace in Nigeria. Both the citizens and leaders must have a willing heart to restore the country back to its glory.
